Pierre Mundo Imperial was built in the 1950s as the private retreat of the American businessman J. Paul Getty, and it still carries that era in its low Mexican architecture, lush gardens and uninterrupted views of the Pacific. It sits on Revolcadero Beach in the Riviera Diamante area of Acapulco.
