Ten pools include five with swim-up bars, and Splash Water World, the hotel's water park, adds slides, with a pizza buffet beside it. The RIU Land kids' club is a fantasy world for the little ones, RIU Fit runs fitness classes, and a spa and wellness centre is on site. RIU Party nights supply the music after dark.

Rooms start at the 26 square metre Double Room with garden or sea view and the 28 square metre Double with lateral sea view, plus connecting standard doubles for families. The Friends and Family Room is 49 square metres. The RIU Party Double Room, at 29 square metres, is adults-only and sits in the party area. The Suite with sea view tops the range at 70 square metres, with a king bed, lounge, dressing room and balcony.

Ten restaurants cover the range. La Baja California is the main buffet, with live cooking and three themed nights a week. Kulinarium is a gourmet a la carte, Carusso is Italian, Sakura is an Asian buffet, La Mision is Mexican, and American Country is a steakhouse-style corner. Torote runs from breakfast to a steakhouse dinner, Wet and Pizza is the pizza buffet near the water park, and there are two Tiki Taco taquerias and two Pepe's Food grills. Thirteen bars cover the rest.

It suits families who want a big Cabo resort with a water park and a kids' club, and groups who want RIU Party nights.
