Ocean Maya Royale stands on the Riviera Maya seafront, very near Playa del Carmen, and takes guests aged 18 and over. It is a place built around days on the sand and the pool, with Mayan heritage, cenotes and Playa del Carmen's restaurants and shops within easy reach.

Rooms are junior suites, from the Elegance Nature View and Ocean View suites with furnished terraces to Privilege suites with a jacuzzi on the terrace or a private pool a step from the door. Privilege Romance Suites pair a living area with an outdoor jacuzzi, and the Privilege service adds its own lounge restaurant and bar facing the sea.
La Hacienda is the buffet, with show cooking and international dishes from breakfast to dinner. Four themed a la carte restaurants cover Mexican grill, Italian over the water, Asian teppanyaki and international signature cuisine, all open for dinner. A pool bar, a juice bar, a sports bar and Mike's Coffee fill the gaps between meals.
Two outdoor pools sit near the beach. The Blue Team runs fitness classes, aerobics and salsa by day, and the theatre stages shows, live music and themed nights after dark. Non-motorised water sports are included, and there are three floodlit tennis courts, beach volleyball, a 24-hour gym and the Despacio Spa Centre with sauna and jacuzzi.
